After more than a decade working as a paralegal, I saw firsthand how inefficiencies, outdated processes, and poorly implemented technology slow firms down. Attorneys were spending too much time managing operations and not enough time practicing law.

I founded Legalmatics to change that.

Legalmatics helps law firms streamline their operations through practical, technology-driven solutions. I work directly with firms to analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design systems that actually support the way legal teams work—whether that means implementing or optimizing case management systems, improving document management, or creating clear, usable standard operating procedures.

Unlike large consulting firms, I personally handle every engagement. There are no handoffs, no junior staff, and no one learning on your time. Clients work directly with me from initial assessment through implementation and training, ensuring solutions are tailored, efficient, and realistic for your firm.

My goal is simple: help law firms run better so attorneys can get back to lawyering.

I’m Mary Brown, a legal operations consultant with over ten years of experience working inside law firms as a paralegal, paired with a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management.

For most of my career, I was the person in the middle—translating between attorneys, staff, and technology. I saw how often capable teams were held back by inefficient systems, unclear processes, and tools that were never implemented properly. I also saw how frustrating it was for attorneys to spend their time fixing operational issues instead of practicing law.

My background in information systems gives me a structured, analytical approach to solving these problems. I understand not only how law firms operate day to day, but also how technology, data, and workflows should work together to support those operations.

I’m practical, detail-oriented, and collaborative. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or overengineered systems. Instead, I focus on building workflows that are clear, sustainable, and aligned with how your firm actually works. I ask the right questions, listen closely, and translate complexity into solutions your team can confidently adopt.
