After almost a decade of working for firms as an in-office employee, our Founder struck out on her own as a virtual contract paralegal in 2022.

During this period, she recognized the growing intersection between law and technology and decided to pivot toward consulting in the legal tech space. This decision was bolstered by her pursuit of a Master's Degree in Applied Information Technology.

What was once just an idea and a hope, Legalmatics LLC was formally founded in 2025. 

With a mission to revolutionize the way law firms operate by integrating cutting-edge technology solutions, Legalmatics aims to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall client service.

With over a decade of experience as a paralegal, Mary is keenly aware of the inefficiencies, pain points, and bottlenecks law firms often experience. Her deep understanding of legal operations has been instrumental in shaping her career and educational pursuits.

In 2021, Mary assisted a firm with implementing a new case management system. This experience, combined with her love for technology and organization, inspired her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Applied Information Technology with a specialized focus on Information Systems Management. Within just one and a half years, she graduated as an Upsilon Pi Epsilon Member – an honor society for the Computing and Information disciplines.

Mary is passionate about positively impacting the way people work. Her expertise and skillset enable her to help clients optimize their business processes, allowing them to achieve their strategic goals more effectively and efficiently.

A native Marylander, Mary enjoys hiking, live music, researching her family tree, genealogy, and spending time with her family and Great Pyrenees, Cheddar.
